The Metta Clamping Contact Mic is made up of a high grade Piezo transducer pickup secured to a rugged metal clamp wired to approx 1 metre of studio-grade instrument cable terminated to a sturdy metal 1/4" mono plug.

Simply clamp the device to the surface you wish to amplify sending the signal to an amplifier, audio interface, effect chain or recording device.

Standard contact microphone low-impedance output designed to run through an amplifier or preamp pedal to boost the signal to taste.

Metta makes a passive impedance transformer (Metta Transformer) and also a powered clean volume boost (Metta Energy Boost) that suit microphones excellently.

This is a passive device that requires no batteries or electricity to work.
