Metta Optical Theremin / Light Controlled Noise Synth
$220.00 AUD
The Metta Optical Theremin is a hand wired, completely analogue noise oscillator designed to mimic the strange, soaring, sci-fi sounds of the theremin and much more..
The left knob controls pitch, allowing the user to sweep from deep bass notes all the way through the square-wave oscillators low, mid and high range allowing this device to not only be used as a noise-theremin but also as a pitch controllable droning oscillator.
The leftmost switch toggles a light-dependent resistor (photo-cell), this lets the user modulate the pitch via letting in more / less light to the photo-cell. For closest theremin-like sounds, simply shine a phone torch or flashlight at the photo-cell at varied distances.
The right knob controls the volume of the signal to a 1/4" mono output. The rightmost toggle switch simply turns the device ON/OFF.
